Luca Brecel defeated Kyren Wilson with a barrage of brutal scoring, including four centuries, to reach his first UK Championship final.

Brecel made two centuries and Wilson one, with the Englishman scoring a 69 to level the game at 2-2.

A ton and two further half centuries put the Belgian in front and they closed the match with a 112.

Brecel will face either Barry or Zhao in the final.

The last remaining champion in the field will be engraved on the trophy if the winner is the winner.

Brecel had the best feeling.

When he was 17 years old, Brecel became the youngest player to play in the World Championship, and was tipped to have a bright future in the sport.

At the age of 26, he looks to have finally come of age, becoming the first player from mainland Europe to reach a Triple Crown event final.

Brecel's scoring prowess was too much for Wilson, as he compiled four centuries and three further breaks of 50 or more.

It's unbelievable. Brecel said it was a dream. I was so nervous last night that I couldn't sleep. It is true now.

Something has clicked. I had a good start to the season and it can happen. It's just confidence. I made a conscious decision to give my opponent less chances.

It's very special to do it at this stage. It's amazing to be in the final. I have a lot to look forward to.

After a flawless first three frames in which Brecel made 130 and 105 in between Wilson's 121, the fourth frame proved crucial as Brecel broke down on 59 allowing his opponent to respond with a 69 clearance.

The world number five snuck in front but Brecel's 97 and 80 took him one frame from victory and although Wilson's 83 kept the match alive, another century put Brecel through.

The whole game I felt great. I haven't been playing my best but I have been winning a lot and this game I played unbelievable.

It is the best feeling I have ever had on a snooker table, even better than winning in China, because this was such a big crowd and the balls kept going in.

Wilson said that the better man won and he was scoring a lot. It is very impressive to do that under that amount of pressure.
