T.J. Watt was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list less than a week after he tested positive for a banned substance.
Watt had a positive test on Monday and a second negative test on Saturday.
The defense will be without Joe Haden for a while. The defensive linemen and inside linebackers missed practice Friday because of illness, while the defensive linemen and inside linebackers were out with injuries. Neither was given an injury designation in the final practice report, but the team is keeping a close eye on them.
Watt is second in the NFL with 12.5 sacks, behind only the Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett.
Watt wasn't able to practice with the team during the week because of the league's protocols, but he was still involved in the defense, and defensive coordinators said they would have Watt against the Ravens.
"I hope we have him, but we have to plan that we don't have him," he said. We have to do that. It's a benefit if we get him.
John Harbaugh told reporters that he was going to have Watt in the game.
Watt was given an opportunity to rest his knee and hip injuries, which he sustained in a tie with the Detroit Lions. Watt missed the loss to the Los Angeles Chargers with injuries but returned the next week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Ben Roethlisberger missed one game after he tested positive for COVID-19 and returned after seven days in the protocol. Two players missed time on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and there are still two players in the protocol.
