The summer transfer window was unlike any other and we graded the biggest signings. The window is closed until January, but that doesn't mean the rumour mill won't keep going. The latest gossip and speculation is here.

Man Utd will beat Bara.

According to El Nacional, Manchester United are the favorites to sign a player from Barcelona.

The Germany international hasn't had the best time since joining the Blues in 2020 and has one goal to his name this season.

The 25-year-old was linked with the Blaugrana after they tried to sign him while he was still at RB Leipzig.

The plan was to move for him in January with a loan and option to make the deal permanent for around 40 million.

The arrival of Ralf Rangnick at Old United has made the Red Devil's enter the conversation, as he hopes to get a chance to work with his friend, Werner.

Roman Abramovich would rather see Werner join Barcelona than strengthen his club, so this doesn't change his mind.

Even if there is more competition, he would prefer to team up with Rangnick again and move to Manchester, which would make it harder for him to get the minutes he wants.

Where do the forwards rank?

LaLiga, MLS, FA Cup, more are included in the guide.

PAPER GOSSIP

Atlanta United FC have reached an agreement with Velez Sarsfield for the transfer of Thiago Almada, a player who could be the highest paid player in MLS history. Atlanta said it is not committed to acquiring the player at the moment.

Vinicius Junior's contract renewal was supposed to be straight forward, as he has a contract with Real Madrid until 2024. The pursuit of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland could make things more complicated. Vincius could end up on the bench if those other stars join, so he wants a big deal or will listen to offers from elsewhere.

Sky Sports Deutschland is reporting that the race to sign a player from RB Salzburg is between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. This is a worse offer than the one the German international received from the Bundesliga outfit. The signs are in BVB's favor according to the reports.

Ekrem Konur suggested that AC Milan could sign Antonio Rudiger, a player from the Blues, or another player in January, following the knee surgery of Simon Kjaer. Samuel Umtiti has been added to the list by Diario Sport.

According to Football Insider, National League side Wrexham are trying to sign Jack Wilshere. The club that is owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney currently sits seventh and will attempt to sign a free agent to improve that position.
