An Iowa high school basketball player was arrested after he allegedly hit an opposing player at the end of a game.

The boys' high school basketball game was played Tuesday night. A video shows a player on the Nevada team punching a player on the Carlisle team after the two teams passed each other in a traditional practice of sportsmanship.

In the video, the Nevada player is hit at least two more times by the Carlisle player.

The Nevada player had to have stitches for a cut to his mouth. The 17-year-old player was arrested and charged with a felony.

Amos didn't return a phone message asking if the student had been disciplined or if he remained a member of the basketball team.

A woman who answered the phone at the school said they couldn't comment on the student's status because of student privacy regulations.
