Hackers Are Spamming Companies’ Receipt Printers with Anti-Work Manifestos

If Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels were alive today, they would have written the Communist Manifesto.
At several employers, workers have reported anti-work manifestos randomly printing out on receipts. A report from Vice shows that someone has hacked at least dozens of businesses' receipt printers to send pro-worker messages.
One receipt says, "Are you being underinsured?" You have a legal right to discuss pay with your coworkers.

One said to organize a union. Good employers are not afraid of these.

This Arby's is frightening.

The community dedicated to fighting abusive labor practices and workers' rights is the subject of the manifestos.
One user wrote, "which one of you is doing this because it's hilarious." My co-workers and I need answers.

Some seem to be a little irked by the manifestos, though, with another user saying, "Love r/ antiwork but please stop sending my receipt printer mail."
Activists.

The identity of the hacker is still a mystery. Andrew Morris, founder of GreyNoise, told Vice that whoever is hacking the printers is doing so in an intelligent way.

Morris told the site that a technical person is broadcasting print requests for a document containing workers rights messaging to all printers that are not up to date. He believes that thousands of printers are exposed, even though he can't confirm how many have been hacked.

It is cool to see cyberpunk activism in the world. The hacker is trying to take down large companies with a computer and a simple message: Rise up against your capitalist, megacorp overlords.

There are antiwork manifestos that are being used by hackers.

There are more on hackers.
