Oklahoma City's name was etched into the record books on Thursday night, but not in a good way.
Mark Daigneault's team was defeated by the Memphis Grizzles by a score of 152-79. It is the largest margin of victory in NBA history.
The bench scored more than the entire team for the Grizzlies. They did it without star point guard Ja Morant, who is out with a knee injury.

The team allowed 79 points and finished with 81 paint points. Over the last 25 years, they are the 4th team to score more paint points in a game than they allowed. This is the first time since 2000 that it has happened.

Morant said he can't wait to return to the court after his team's victory.
Ja Morant wrote a letter.

I can't wait to get back out there.

Oklahoma City's best player on Thursday night was Dort, who finished with a team-high 15 points, along with one rebound and two assists. Mike Muscala had 12 points, as did other players, including Ty Jerome and Isaiah Roby.
It was a rough night for Robinson-Earl.

Robinson-Earl played just 24 minutes tonight.

The only player with a worse plus-minus since the NBA started tracking play-by-play in 1996-97 is Cleveland's Manny Harris, who was -57 in a 112-57 loss to the Lakers on January 11, 2011.
Jaren Jackson Jr. had 27 points, three rebound and one assist for the Grizzles. His second game in a row with at least 25 points was his best game of the campaign so far.
The Memphis trio of John Konchar, De' Anthony Melton and Santi Aldama combined for 54 points, 20 rebound and 12 assists.
Prior to Thursday night's game, the Cleveland Cavaliers had held the NBA record for the largest margin of victory, having beaten the Miami Heat in 1988.

The best player for the Thunder was absent. It's not clear when the guard will return after he was placed in concussion protocol.
Gilgeous-Alexander leads the team in scoring with 21.2 points per game, and he also has 5.1 rebound and 4.5 assists.
Oklahoma City is in a major rebuild, and Thursday's loss dropped the team to 6-16 on the season. Sam Presti has a lot of first-round draft picks, which could help the team over the next several years.
It seems like fans will be in for another disappointing season after last year's 22-50 finish.
