Star Wars fans are known for having passionate opinions and Simu Liu is no different. On the latest episode of Hot Ones, the new superhero was asked about a photo on his social media account where he was wearing a red Jedi helmet, which led to the question of who his favorite Jedi is. The answer is well reasoned.
On the show, he said it must be Qui-Gon Jinn. You can see the idea of the Jedi during the Old Republic, where everyone is stuck-up. The Jedi are supposed to not want power, so they are very hypocritical. There is a council that oversees everything that is in the highest part of Coruscant.

I love thatQui-Gon is a bit of a maverick. He doesn't care. He apologized and said he was going to train the kid. The kid is going to become Darth Vader and overthrow the entire Republic, but you have to admire the guy that can see through the hypocrisy of the Jedi Order. They think they are the good guys, but really they were the instruments of their own demise.
The nerd out was so complete he ended it by saying "Sorry, I've already... you get me on a Star Wars tangent and I will show you my true colors."
