Third U.S. Omicron Case Detected In Colorado

The third documented case of the omicron variant of Covid-19 was detected in Colorado on Thursday, following detection of the new strain in Minnesota and California on Wednesday.

The Colorado state flag is flying near Federal Blvd. and 96th Ave. There were places near the Wyoming-Colorado border where the wind speed was over 60 miles per hour. AAron Ontiveroz is a photographer for The Denver Post.

The omicron variant was detected in a female resident of Arapahoe County who had recently traveled to southern Africa as a tourist.

The woman was not given a booster shot for Covid-19, but she is experiencing minor symptoms.
