A few more bystanders were run into by the tour bus that was being driven by Rodgers. Rodgers loves to play the blame game, and this time it is the Packers coaching staff who is being blamed.
Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show that he didn't know where the reports were coming from. I don't know who is talking. It seems like there are some coaches that have friends in the media that are just trying to report things.
Guys used to have their people leak stuff to them.
Are we serious about this? I apologize, but did the world have the same dream about Rodgers publicly commenting on his toe? He said there was a leak from the coaching staff. This behavior is completely out of place from Rodgers.
No matter how ridiculous it sounds, the Packers have surrendered a little power and now it is up to the man. It has barely been a week since Rodgers put his toes in the camera to prove his innocence. Rodgers pushes all blame away from himself like a child shoving broccoli onto the dog's plate.
Rodgers has the Packers where he wants them, and he is testing the limits of what and how much he can get away with. He knows that Brian Gutenkunst won't say anything that isn't positive about the relationship between them. Team President Mark Murphy probably won't say anything to Rodgers, even though they allowed him to prance around team facilities all year without adhering to non-vaccinated player protocols. Jordan Love is almost two years away from becoming the franchise, and he is not prepared. It is turning out to be the largest horse pill we have seen in a long time.
The time is running out on the Rodgers era in Green Bay, but it is worth keeping an eye out for after this. The other teams should be skeptical. Rodgers can throw the ball around better than any other quarterback in the league. That is all that matters to these teams. The man is willing to be selfish because he will lie about something as serious as his vaccine status to play the victim. As long as Rodgers continues to throw 30-plus touchdown passes with very few turnovers, that is all that matters. If Rodgers is callous toward the franchise that gave him a chance and helped him grow and develop his career, then he will be the same way with another organization.
If Rodgers ends up on a team next season, don't be shocked by his irreverence towards your front office before he kicks you in the ass after shaking your hand and taking your money. For years, we have heard from different teammates that Rodgers is self-serving and that he has done it to the Packers.
Proceed with caution. The outside is all glittery and shiny, but underneath is a bare-boned ugly truth. Don't be fooled by trick camera angles and perfect lighting, to the other 31 NFL general managers.
