Over the past year, Microsoft has been adding custom Xbox touch controls to more than 100 games that can be streamed toANDROID and ios phones using its xbox cloud gaming service. 20 percent of players use these touch controls exclusively, and it seems that these controls are a bit gimmicky to some.

Over the past year, game developers have been eager to add these custom touch controls. Microsoft has made it easy for game developers to build on top of a sample layout from GitHub that can be tailored to each game.

The usage of titles that use touch controls has increased on average by 2x. A lot of Cloud gaming titles have touch controls, with custom styling and iconography that helps players who are not using a computer.
