The spice must move. Funcom and Nukklear are working on a new game in the Dune universe.
Funcom acquired the rights to make a game based on Frank Herbert's Dune, a popular science fiction series. The current project will take inspiration from another Funcom game called Conan Exiles. Funcom reached out to Nukklear to help co-develop a new title after an investment from a media giant.
The Dune open-world survival game is the most ambitious project we have ever undertaken at Funcom and having skilled and reliable partners is an absolute must. We have that with Nukklear. Funcom CEO, Rui Casais, said that they have benefited from their expertise in vehicular based gaming, but that they are also highly skilled and creative game developers.

Nukklear is a hybrid-remote company that has talent from around the world. The company received a grant from the German government to help with the development of a new project.
