Charlie Wyke was discharged from the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest during training.
The 28-year-old has a heart problem.
Wyke said that Wigan boss Leam Richardson initiated the process before the club doctor took over.
Wyke said that he appreciated the club's medical staff and the nurses who cared for him.
My life has been saved by the actions of the club doctor and the manager, so I want to tell my story to our supporters and the public.
I had a cardiac arrest and needed to be resuscitated, but only the quick response of the doctor and the EMTs saved my life.
I am here to talk about the experience because of their actions and those of my team-mates and other staff.
