The Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers made a trade.
On Wednesday, the Red Sox traded outfielder Hunter Renfroe to the Brewers in exchange for outfielders Alex Binelas and David Hamilton.
Hamilton and Binelas were both ranked in the top 17 players in Milwaukee's farm system.
Boston landed Bradley in the deal and is familiar with what he can do. He was traded to the Brewers prior to the 2020 season after eight years with the Red Sox.
Bradley was an All-Star in 2016 and won a Gold Glove in the same year, as well as being the ALCS Most Valuable Player that year. He hit double-digit home runs for five years in a row from 2015 to 2019.
He slashed.163/.235/.263 with six home runs and 29 runs in 134 games for the Brewers in 2021. He finished the 2020 campaign with a career-best.283 batting average, but it was a far cry from his previous best.
Renfroe was better this year.
He slashed.259/.315/.500 with 31 home runs and 96RBI for the Red Sox in 2021, which was his fourth straight full season with at least 26 long balls.
The right-handed hitter will bring immediate power to Milwaukee's lineup and will provide more offense than Bradley did during his one season with the Brewers.
