Apple announced today that it will open a store in Berlin, Germany on December 2. The first Apple Store in Berlin is Apple Rosenthaler Strae.
Apple's senior vice president of Retail + People said that the company was excited to open a store in the heart of Berlin. Combining Apple's exceptional technology and tools with the creative passion we share with this community gives us the opportunity to create something really special for our customers in Germany.
Apple Rosenthaler Strae is located in a historic part of the city that is surrounded by design firms and art studios. The store has the same design as the Apple Store, with a Forum and video wall, a dedicated area for product pickup, and dedicated tables that highlight product options. There are seven-meter high floor-to-ceiling windows and towering trees inside.
Parallel Universe, an illustrator collective from Berlin, will be attending the store's opening. Customers can sign up for Today at Apple classes if they choose, as each artist will draw their take on Mitte's creative spirit using an iPad Pro.
The Berlin store will offer Today at Apple Creative Studios, an initiative that provides career-building mentorship, industry skills training, tools, and creative resources to underrepresented communities.
The Apple Rosenthaler Strae is scheduled to open on December 2. In Berlin. Customers will be able to book appointments for an introduction to the store and shopping, with limited capacity and social distancing measures in place. Genius Bar support will be offered at the location on December 3.
