Finally, some good news: Nicolas Cage is going to play Dracula

It's important to take the good news when it comes, even though it can be hard, especially with holiday stress piling on top of the regular concerns about climate change and COVID and fascists. You never know when a piece of good news will be the last one.

The introduction may have brought things down a bit, but don't worry. Nicolas Cage is going to play a vampire, and even though you have already read the headline, here it is again: Nicolas Cage is going to play a vampire. He thinks he is becoming a vampire, not just a vampire, but a famous vampire. It was a freakin' Dracula.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicolas Hoult will be playing the Count in a movie called Renfield, which will be directed by Chris McKay and feature Nicolas Cage as the Count.

Robert Kirkman, the guy behind the Walking Dead comic, pitched Renfield to Rick And Morty vet Ryan Ridley, who wrote it.

It is interesting that Renfield will have Nicholas and Nicolas in it, but it is not important when Nicolas Cage is playing a vampire. Can you imagine what he will say? Will he have a peak with his hair? Will he wear a cape? Remember when Nicolas Cage was a vampire? This is exciting.
