Microsoft is starting to make improvements to Windows 11 after it was found that it was a step back in user experience. A new update that is currently being tested by Windows Insiders brings the clock and date back to the taskbar on secondary or multiple monitors. It is a change that multiple monitor users will appreciate, as many have had to install third-party apps like ElevenClock just to get this basic function in Windows 11.

The changes made to the taskbar in Windows 11 have been criticized by me. I am happy that Microsoft made the initial change to the new taskbar. We hope to see the return of being able to drag and drop files onto the apps in the taskbar.

The new Start menu has some changes.

The Start menu in Windows 11 is being improved by Microsoft. The Start menu can be configured to show more pins or more recommendations. Many Windows 11 users are opting for third-party apps here, too, and that makes the Start menu a little more flexible.

The latest build of Windows 11 includes more improvements to the settings app as part of Microsoft's effort to include more control panel settings in the main settings app. The advanced sharing settings have been moved to a new page in the Settings app under Advanced Network settings.

Some parts of the Control Panel will now direct Windows 11 users to the main settings app instead of the Printers &Scanners section. It feels like Microsoft is close to removing the Control Panel in favor of its modern settings app.

All of these features will not be available for a while. Some of these may be cumulative updates in the monthly changes Microsoft makes to the OS. Microsoft is planning a larger annual update for Windows 11.
