Bad News, Boys! Vaping Linked to Erectile Dysfunction

Scientists have found another reason why vaping sucks, and this time it is affecting a whole different organ from your lungs.

The study found that men who smoke e-cigs are more likely to have ED than men who don't use e-cigs.

The large sample included 45,971 men aged 20 to 65, who were divided into two groups: those who have cardiovascular issues and those who don't. Recent research suggests that ED can be an indicator of heart disease.

The authors of the study noted that smoking actual cigarettes has been linked with ED, which makes this new research yet another strike against the claims that e-cigarettes are healthier than traditional smokes.

We need to fully investigate the relationship between e-cigarettes and Erectile Functioning, and thus better understand the potential implications for men's sexual health, given that many people use e-cigarettes as a form of smoking harm reduction or to help them quit smoking.

It is possible that daily e-cigarette vaping may be associated with higher odds of erection problems regardless of one's smoking history, because our analyses accounted for the cigarette smoking history of participants, including those who were never cigarette smokers to begin with.

The researchers behind this study seem to have a clear agenda. The NYU Langone press release states that the researchers believe that e-cigarette users should be informed about the link between smoking and ED.

This study could be a sign of things to come for the vaping industry. Will this be enough to get the guys to stop using the e-sticks?

Juul paid a medical journal to run a bunch of pro-vaping studies.

The FDA just endorsed vaping.
