Apple launches new Watch faces and Apple Pay promotion for World AIDS Day

In 2006 Apple and (RED) collaborated to launch a line of red-colored products, with the proceeds going to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. (RED) is a company that works with popular brands to raise awareness about AIDS and raise money for the Global Fund which invests in HIV/AIDS programs in Africa.

Apple is celebrating 15 years of its partnership with World AIDS Day. According to the tech giant, its (RED) program has helped raise nearly $270 million for the cause, provided over 192 million HIV tests, and provided over 13 million people with access to antiretroviral treatments.

Apple highlighted its products and accessories in a press release Wednesday, including the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, and Apple Watch Series 7.

The company will donate $1 to the Global Fund for every purchase made with Apple Pay on apple.com, in the Apple Store app, or at an Apple Store.

The new Apple Watch faces are available for download at apple.com/product-red. I was able to add the new faces to my watch, even though I only had a Series 6 watch at hand. The new faces need watchOS 7.4 or later, as well as the previous version of the software.
