A source tells Ed Werder that the Cowboys will travel to New Orleans Wednesday and play against the Saints on Thursday.

Cooper was activated by the team Wednesday after missing the last two games. Jerry Jones was confident that Cooper would be available, despite the fact that coach Mike McCarthy said Cooper is still not feeling the best and has a cough.

The team flies to New Orleans tomorrow and Cooper is not sure how much he plays since he hasn't practiced in more than two weeks.

With Cooper expected to play, the Cowboys will have their top two wide receiver against the Saints with CeeDee Lamb coming back from a concussion. The Cowboys might be without receiver Cedrick Wilson because of an ankle injury.

The official injury designation for the game will be released later Wednesday.

The starting right tackle and the starting CB were placed on the COVID list earlier this week. The Cowboys will be without offensive line coach Joe Philbin, assistant offensive line coach Jeff Blasko, strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash, and assistant strength and conditioning coach Kendal Smith against the Saints.

The Cowboys will have an interim coach against the Saints.

The Cowboys have been hit harder by it this season than they were last season. The Pro Bowl right guard missed the season opener. The only two players who weren'tvaccinated on the 53-man roster were Linebacker Keanu Neal and Cooper. Greg Zuerlein, Randy Gregory, Brandon Knight, and Bradlee Anae missed games.
