Dr. Oz announces Senate bid to his millions of followers

Oz has spoken about the government's response to Covid in interviews over the course of the Pandemic.

Oz said in the campaign ad that the system is broken. Washington got it wrong and we lost a lot of jobs and lives. They tried to kill our spirit and dignity by taking away our freedom.

His campaign plans to champion issues such as lowering drug prices, bringing back jobs from China and establishing a secure border.

Republicans are questioning whether or not Oz has been a resident of Pennsylvania for a long time. Oz has been living in Pennsylvania since December 2020 and renting a home owned by his wife's family. He attended both medical and business school at the University of Pennsylvania.

Oz was a long time resident of New Jersey. He registered to vote in Pennsylvania.

Oz made calls to top Republicans in Pennsylvania. One Republican who spoke to Oz last week said the celebrity doctor tried to clarify that he doesn't live in the state.

The person said that he tried to make a case for why he is a resident of Pennsylvania, and that he has been listening to people and seeing what the issues are.

The person said that Oz did not discuss Trump, a notable omission in a party controlled by the former president.

Oz used the same language to describe himself as a conservative, but also pledged to put America first.

Jeff Bartos is a real estate developer who has pledged to spend millions of his own money in the race, as is the former ambassador toDenmark, who is also a Republican. GOP strategists said that both have struggled to gain traction in the primary so far.

Pat Poprik said she was invited to an event to meet McCormick in Philadelphia on Wednesday, but is unable to attend due to a prior obligation. A person who talked to him said it was 90 percent likely that he would jump in.

State Republicans said that a former congressman from western Pennsylvania is also considering a run.
