CNN has suspended Chris Cuomo 'indefinitely' following new transcripts revealing the extent he helped his brother Andrew Cuomo

Chris Cuomo was suspended by CNN after transcripts showed he used media sources to help his brother.

The New York Attorney General's Office released transcripts that appeared to show Chris Cuomo looking up information about a woman who accused his brother, Andrew Cuomo, of sexual harassment.

Text message conversations between Chris Cuomo and his former top aide were found by the office of New York Attorney General.

The New York Attorney General's office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo's involvement in his brother's defense. The documents that we were not aware of before their public release raise serious questions.

Chris broke our rules when he admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother's staff. He understood his need to put his family first and his job second and we appreciated that. The documents show a greater level of involvement in his brother's efforts.

Chris has been suspended indefinitely pending further evaluation.

Chris Cuomo referred to Anna Ruch in a text message.
Ruch was the subject of a New York Times article in March detailing unwanted advances she said Andrew made on her at a wedding.

Chris had previously apologized for coaching his brother through the sexual harassment scandal, and he wouldn't be covering it anymore.

Cuomo started out as a guest on cable and TV networks before landing his first full-time gig as a correspondent for Fox News. He co-anchored "Good Morning America" on ABC from 2006 to 2009.
