Ellen White becomes England's all-time top goal scorer as Lionesses hit 20 on record-breaking night



White scored twice in the first 10 minutes to break the record, and England went on to score four times in the first quarter-hour.

In the first half, Lauren May Hemp and Ella Toone both scored twice, while the hat trick was scored by Mead in the 23rd minute.

White's hat trick was her third of the day, as England picked up where they left off in the second half.

Georgia Stanway scored from the penalty spot, then Jessica Carter and Bethany England netted goals of their own to help England's lead to 12-0.

The second half saw England score four times, with Jordan Nobbs, Alessia Russo, andJill Scott all scoring.

England's men's and women's teams scored 13 goals against Ireland and Hungary, respectively, in the past, but those records were shattered on Tuesday night.

White made her 100th appearance for the national team against Austria on Saturday, after scoring on her England debut in 2010.

The United States' Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe were both nominated for the Ballon d'Or, but the Golden Boot award went to the 32-year-old.

The Englishman has played in three World Cup and scored in the 2011 tournament.

She was named England's player of the year for 2020-21 after scoring six times for Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympic. She had won the award three times, the last in 2011.

White was a player in the Women's Super League.

She was the top scorer in the WSL in the last season.
