It looks like Musk is placing the burden of his company's imminent bankruptcy on his employees, as leaked emails show that he expected them to work through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
In an email obtained by Space Explored, Musk said that they would need all hands on deck to recover from the disaster.
The email was confirmed by CNBC and said that the CEO would be on the line all night and through the weekend.
The company's much-ballyhooed Raptor engines are the source of its possible bankruptcy, as Space Explorer previously reported. Musk referred to the exit of Will Heltsley, the former VP of propulsion at the company, over the same issue with the Raptor engines.
The CEO wrote that the production crisis is worse than it was a few weeks ago. The issues that we dug into after the exiting of prior senior management have turned out to be much more severe than we had reported. There is no way to sugarcoat this.
There is little doubt that the employees of the company make a living in a difficult workplace. The company has been accused of labor law violations, such as being asked to work off the clock and not taking lunch breaks, when they are not dodging layoffs.
While he may not be the Steve Jobs of the commercial space industry, the presumption among Musk-watchers is that he is quite hard to work with.
In a leaked email, Musk says that his company is in danger.
