Women's World Cup qualifier: France v Wales (Tue)

Ingle has scored in the last two World Cup qualification matches.

The game will be played on Tuesday, November 29th, 2021.

Coverage includes live coverage on the iPlayer, commentary on the website and the app, and text commentary on the website.

Ahead of their visit to France, Wales captainSophie Ingle says her side are determined to prove they can compete against the world's top sides.

The squad believes they can compete against a team ranked fifth in the world, but they are against the Group I favorites.

"We want to build on the games we have played against top opposition," Ingle said.

We want to show who Wales is.

Wales can head into Tuesday's game feeling like the pressure is off, according to Ingle.

She said that they know they are a team with a lot of strengths, but they have to try and go at their weaknesses.

We have nothing to lose and we are happy where we are, so we want to play with a bit of freedom.

France are relentless and scoring goals for fun, but we have to focus on ourselves. We need to be solid to try and stop them from scoring.

We want to show who Wales is.

Wales' win over Greece in Llanelli on Friday kept them in second place in World Cup qualification, two points behind leaders France.

The group is at the halfway stage with Wales' last match in France in the last qualification of 2021, with the reverse fixture on April 8, 2022, being the start of the campaign.

France have scored 35 goals in their first five qualification games, an average of seven goals per match, so Wales will be in for a tough time.

"We would like to bring that average down, that would be our first goal," said Wales's boss.

The foundation of this team has been their defensive sound in previous campaigns.

We have to work hard and defend well. We will have a game plan when we are out of possession.

France are a great team. We will be the highest ranked team they have faced and we will be looking at it as a good challenge.

Rachel Rowe will not be with Wales as she continues to recover from an injury she sustained on the last international camp, but Grainger has no new injury or suspension issues.

The Manchester United player was taken off at half time of Wales' win over Greece because she was unwell.

The move was made to keep the player fresh for the visit to France and to confirm a fully-fit squad.

She said that everyone is available and that the expectation outside the camp will be low.

We will learn a lot at the end of the game.
