It will be the first time since Nov. 15 that he will not be in the lineup.

Miami's 120-117 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers was the reason for the ankle injury to Butler. He scored seven points in the first quarter, but was held out of the rest of the game by coach.

After the game, the Heat waited until the five-time All-Star could undergo more tests to give an update on his status. He missed three games.

The Heat are off to a good start. Their 13-7 record is second in the Eastern Conference, and their + 6.4 net rating is the fourth-best mark in the NBA.

Since joining the team before the season began, he has been the driving force behind Miami's success. He leads the team in scoring with 23.6 points per game and is shooting 51.9 percent from the field.

The past five games, Miami has won and lost. Without Herro, Morris and Butler, it's going to be hard to win back-to-back games.
