It was a busy week for Gonzaga, which lost to Duke and was dominant against UCLA.

In a battle of the top two teams in the rankings, the bulldogs dominated in an 83-63 win last Tuesday. The Bruins were held to just 34.8% shooting from the field and 2 of 12 from three-point range by the defense.

The Bruins improved to 6-1 with a win over UNLV, but still dropped to fifth in the latest poll.

The loss to Duke could be the best game that fans see all season.

The first half was Paolo Banchero's best, but he had trouble in the second.
Duke was able to pull out the impressive victory thanks to Mark Williams, who had 17 points, nine rebound, and five blocks.

The Jayhawks were upset by Dayton at the buzzer and fell from 4 to 8.

Dayton overcame 20 turnovers to pull off the upset, which raised doubts about Kansas after a quiet start to the season.

Iowa State earned an easy 78-59 win over Memphis, which was the first loss of the season. Kalscheur scored 30 in the win to cap a big week for the Cyclones.

The same fate was avoided by the Bears, who won the Battle 4 Atlantis with wins over Arizona State, Michigan State and Virginia Commonwealth. The team that won the NCAA championship last year is no longer around, but they are still a top contender.

Next week's games with Florida State and Iowa will be more difficult for the squad than the one against Omaha.
