There are at least eight positive tests in the Cowboys organization.

McCarthy will join at least five assistant coaches who will be absent due to Covid protocol for the Thursday night game at the New Orleans Saints.

The Cowboys have moved to virtual meetings to reduce contact.

It is not clear who will be the head coach for the game this week.

What to watch for.

There are no indications that the game will be moved because of the outbreak. There have been no postponements of NFL games this season.

Surprising fact.

The Cowboys will have one of their top wide receiver back this week after he missed the last two games due to a positive Covid test. Cooper was notvaccinated, but he is required to get a vaccine.

The Cowboys' season has been disrupted by the loss of McCarthy and other coaches. The Cowboys have lost three out of their last four games, meaning they will head into Thursday night with a 4-7 record. The team's Covid outbreak is one of the biggest this season, though it has not disrupted the league's schedule unlike in 2020. The Cowboys cluster is not as bad as the Tennessee Titans outbreak, which took place during the preseason. Ryan Tannehill, the starting quarterback, and Mike Vrabel, the head coach, were two of the nine members of the Titans who tested positive for Covid-19 at that time.

The number is big.

$6.5 billion. The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports club in the world according to Forbes.

Cowboys are going virtual with COVID-19 infections.
