Oklahoma received more bad news on Monday when defensive end Derrick Moore and offensive lineman Demetrius Hunter both announced they were decommitting from the Sooners.

Lincoln Riley accepted the same position at USC, and the Oklahoma recruits are rethinking their positions.

Moore is the second-highest ranked recruit in the Sooners' class, behind only five-star defensive tackle Gabe Brownlow-Dindy. Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan were some of the top programs that offered Moore.

Thank you Norman.

Hunter said on Monday that he believes it's in his best interest to look at other options. He is one of the top interior offensive linemen in the class and he is a recruit from West Orange-Stark High School.

Thanks to the Sooner Nation.

Kobie Mckinzie is a recruit from Lubbock, Texas.

It wasn't the only class that took a hit. With Riley leaving, Malachi Nelson decommits from the program, but the staff got a head start on recruiting.

Nelson is the third recruit in the class and the second quarterback. Riley has been in contact with Nelson about joining him at USC.

The class of 2023 has four total commitments after Nelson, Brandon, and Treyaun decommitted on Sunday.

With Moore and Hunter decommitting, the Sooners have eight commitments and 15 total commitments.
