Yeon Sang-Ho Planning on Third Train to Busan Movie, Eventually

Train to Busan took off in the way that other high profile projects from South Korea tend to do these days. It is clear that the only way to appease those fans is with a follow up, even though they do not want a remake. Yeon Sang-Ho knows that there is more to do with the world he created after Peninsula.

Sang-Ho isn't ready to commit to anything yet, but he knows it will be another film. He is certain that a movie is the best option for this series because of his deal with Next Entertainment World. He is pretty sure that it will have more of the spirit of the original movie. He said that the film was about car chases. The story will be carried out in a small and restricted space after that. He hopes that once the third movie is out, they will all connect to and relate to one another like a trilogy is usually meant to be.

Time and himself are the biggest things that are working against him. He said that he was working on a lot of productions. It is possible that a second season of Hellbound may be in the cards, but he simply said that it would need further discussion with Kyu-Seok and the streaming service before anything was confirmed. He knows that he will have to change the way he handles his projects going forward. I have been an individual creator before. I think I need to come up with a system to bring all of my visions to life.

Hellbound and Train to Busan are both available on Amazon.
