Apex Legends Mobile: Gameplay, release date, and everything you need to know

One of Electronic Arts' most successful games is the title, Apex Legends. Interested users can register for the closed alpha on the mobile version of the game.

You play as a hero in a battle Royale game, and participate in fights in a large arena. Two years ago, after the game launched on PC and consoles, the company revealed its intention to bring it to mobile. In April of 2021, the company announced it would be opening regional versions of the game on mobile devices for users in India and the Philippines. Egypt and Turkey recently opened for the Beta, as did Mexico, Hong Kong, Mexico, Lebanon, Colombia, and Peru.

Up to 60 players can join a game in two- or three-player teams. They land on a map that gets smaller, taking out other teams in an effort to be the last players standing. The mobile version of the game supports touchscreen controls.

The characters in the battle Royales have different abilities and personality. You can choose between the relatively tanky Gibraltar, who can put down a shield for the team, or the fast Octane, who can drop jumpads across the map for anyone to use. There are 18 characters to choose from. It's unclear if all of them will be available on mobile, but if the Switch port is any indication, a few will be unlocked for new players, while others will require in-game currency to unlocks.
