The Dallas Cowboys received some good and bad news on Sunday, a day after their loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Amari Cooper will practice on Monday after clearing protocols.
Cowboys offensive tackle and both offensive line coaches won't travel with the team for Thursday's game against the New Orleans Saints due to COVID-19 protocols, according to Hill.
The Cowboys played against the Raiders and Chiefs without Cooper. It was the first time since Dallas acquired him that he missed a game.
The Cowboys lost both of their games. The Philadelphia Eagles have closed to within two games of the best record in the division, but they still have a game against the Giants on Sunday.
Cooper is second on the team with 583 receiving yards and five touchdown in nine starts, despite not being available for multiple games.
Mike McCarthy will have to make changes to the offensive line because of Steele's absence. He has appeared in all 11 games thus far.
Veteran tackle La'El Collins will likely move into the starting lineup. The LSU graduate has played in each of the past five games after being suspended for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
The Cowboys will play the Saints in New Orleans on December 2nd in a game to end their two-game losing streak.
