The Philadelphia 76ers center returned from a nine-game absence after testing positive for Covid-19 and posted 42 points and 14 rebound in 45 minutes during a double-overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After the game, he spoke about his experience.

"That jawn hit me hard," he said as he smiled. I thought I wouldn't make it.

He played as many minutes as he did Saturday.

He played the entire third quarter and both overtime periods. The first 3:40 of the fourth was when he went to the bench.

Karl- Anthony Towns lost eight family members to COVID-19, including his mother, and he battled with Embiid on the court.

The Minnesota big man spoke to reporters after the game. He and Embiid have a rivalry on the court, but that was put to the side as Towns shared his experiences with the Philly center.
