The first win of the day was by the Michigan Wolverines against Ohio State. The elements combined with the Michigan rushing attack was too much for the Ohio State to handle. The Big Ten title game is this Saturday and the Michigan is a unanimous selection for the playoffs.

It looked as though Alabama would be the second team to drop out of the playoffs as the clock wound down in the Iron Bowl. The Tide scored a touchdown with just 24 seconds left to force overtime and stun Jordan-Hare Stadium. Alabama defeated auburn in the fourth overtime after trading touchdown and field goals. The Tide lands on seven ballots despite the close call.

When Oklahoma State looked like it was going to miss the playoffs, Bedlam antics kicked in. The Cowboys overcame a third quarter deficit to beat Oklahoma 37-33 and advance to the Big 12 title game.

Georgia and Cincinnati both improved their records this week. Both teams are unanimous selections, but have tough conference title games next week. The Bearcats will need a win against Houston to stay in the College Football Playoff talks.
