'You' Star Drops Out of Alice Sebold's Film Adaptation Post-Exoneration

The film adaptation of Alice's 1981 Syracuse rape case has fallen apart after the exoneration of the man she accused.

Variety says that Victoria Pedretti, who has a leading role in "You", is no longer associated with the project, "Lucky." It's not clear who Pedretti was supposed to portray, but some think it might be the author.

The project lost all of its financing in the months leading up to Monday's incredible news.

The man who was pinned the rape on was completely exonerating last week after one of the former executives of the movie dug into the facts of the story.

Tim Mucciante went out of his way to hire a private investigator and lawyers to dig even deeper into the story after he left the project.

The dude broke down in tears when he realized that he had been unfairly treated by the justice system.

The truth appears to have been hidden. Broadwater was put away for over 15 years because of the testimony that he'd raped her in'81.

The process of ID'ing Broadwater as the guy was completely bungled, she says she saw an unidentified Black dude approach her in the streets months after her rape, and she felt that this person was her attacker at Syracuse University.

The cops canvassed the area and picked up Broadwater for fitting the description. Broadwater became the prime suspect after Sebold failed to pick him out of a lineup.

She said it was him after he was face to face with her. He was released from prison in 1999 and has had a rough time since.

After Broadwater's exoneration was announced, she was seen out. The abandonment of her film says enough.
