Self-Isolation and PCR test required for ALL arrivals.

The UK Government has put in place new regulations for visitors to the country after the discovery of the Omicron variant. The requirements have been put in place.

The news came from a press conference.

Testing and isolation.

All arrivals into the UK will be recorded.

International arrivals must take a Day 2 test.
International arrivals mustolate until they get a negative result.
All contacts of suspected Omicron cases have to self-isolated. They will be contacted by a third party.

This will be introduced next week.

There are face covering and masks.

The good times and the summer have made mask wearing more relaxed. That comes to a screeching halt.

From next week, face coverings will be compulsory on public transport. The settings of the hotel will be exempt.

England will be in line with Scotland and Wales. The changes will go into effect next week.

The red list has an update.

Travel restrictions have been put in place.

The following will be on the UK Red List on November 28.

Non-UK and Irish residents who have been in these countries in the previous 10 days will not be allowed into England. Those who have stayed airside and only transited through any of these countries while changing flights will not be affected.

UK and Irish residents must stay in a government-approved facility for 10 days. They will have to take a coronaviruses test on day 2 and day 8. Here are more details.

When will this be reviewed?

The review will be three weeks.

A 10-day requirement has been imposed by Switzerland.

The UK has been added to Switzerland's risk country list.

If you want to be at work immediately after a trip, you need a boss who likes the term "work from home". Plan at least three days from arrival to allow for testing and reporting of results.

The rules for entering England have changed, with the Lateral Flow Test being the most popular test. There are tests of flow. The new rule change is for passengers who are in the Economy Class and Beyond.
