Zendaya Promises She'll Be in More of Dune: Part Two

In the build up to Dune, it seemed like Zendaya was going to be in more of it than she actually was. The trailers implied that her character Chani would be more than a girl who haunts, or graces, depending on your POV, the dreams of Paul Atreides, while the actual film came up short in that regard. She will be more of a character in the sequel.

According to the cover story on the box office hit, Chani's story will be explored more in the second act. She said that she could be there for longer. She knew she didn't have anything before she was cast in the film, and she threw her name out there before the film even began casting.

She had nothing but positive things to say about her time in Jordan. She said that Denis was great at giving structure but also giving freedom. I felt connected to Chani immediately and I could come to it with a sense of who she was. I wish I had more time with her. I wanted to stay. She was introduced to everyone in their character by the time she arrived in Jordan, which was a very cool way to start.

In the cover story, he was asked about Zendaya, and he went full wife guy mode. He gushed about Zendaya being Chani. He described the scene of her pulling her mask down as a pretty big deal, both in the film and on set. Fans of the novels should be happy that he had glowing things to say about the love between Paul and Chani. The relationship between us in Jordan was present at the first chemistry read, and it is still present on the screen. It was obvious.

Dune: Part Two and Zendaya will be released on October 20, 2023.
