After limping off during the second half of Saturday's 2-0 victory over Newcastle, Bukayo Saka is set to have a Scan on a "muscular" injury.
After 56 minutes, Saka gave the lead to the team, but was forced to leave after pointing his left thigh.
The 20-year-old's participation in Thursday's clash with Manchester United now appears uncertain after Mikel Arteta gave limited details on him during his post-match press conference.
Arteta said that it was an action where he said that he felt something.
We'll have to assess him tomorrow and see if there's an injury there, and we'll probably Scan him and see if there's an injury there.
The opening goal of the game was scored by Saka.
Gabriel Martinelli came off the bench and scored the second goal 93 seconds after Saka was replaced.
Arteta has used Saka in all 13 of his team's games in the league this season, but the England player could be a doubt for Thursday's game at Old United and the following game at Goodison Park.
Arteta's team have won seven of their eight games at the Emirates in all competition, and they were 2-0 winners over the weekend. The club is fifth in the league after a run of results.
Arteta said that they go game by game.
We have a good run and we have to keep going and see where it takes us, but we have to analyse this game and prepare for the game against Man.
Howe said that the big call went against them.
Eddie Howe, the former Bournemouth boss, was in theNewcastle dugout for the first time after testing negative for Covid-19. He could not change the losing mentality within his group as they are yet to win a game this season.
There was not much in the way of big chances falling their way, but a penalty appeal was waved away by Stuart Attwell just before Martinelli doubled the lead. Howe thought it was a penalty.
Howe thought it was a good performance. The first half hour was good for us. We were under pressure. The game was decided by the penalty that was given to us and the goal that followed.
I don't know why he would go down, he was a great chance. Those moments are when games swing. It feels like those big calls went against us.
"Great save from Ramsdale to deny Shelvey." I thought it was in. The pleasing thing is how we started and finished the game. We created opportunities. Ramsdale has played well. At least we were creating chances.
The players have been responsive. They gave everything in the two games. I can't ask for more than their best.
