The R-rated version of Birds of Prey will be added to the streaming service soon.

Or... counterpoint. We have a version of the film that airs on broadcast cable and an uncut version of the film that is available for streaming, which has been up for a year. Will be updated on Max.

There are two versions of the film, one for broadcast cable and one for streaming, according to Johanna. The uncensored version of Birds of Prey will be shown on the platform. The platform has no information on when it will get the uncut version back, according to a statement from the company.

The uncensored version was previously available on the platform, but it was briefly removed on November 14th. Despite being labeled as rated-R for suggestive dialogue, language, and violence, the movie contains dubbed-over and blurred-out swear words. It shows Harley making peace signs with both hands, rather than flipping the bird.

The movie begins with a warning that says the film has been edited for content. Some fans thought that the movie was deliberately edited to make it seem like it was edgier than it really was. Cathouse and Real Sex were removed from the HBO Go section in the summer of 2018, as well as other raunchier titles. The poster for the movie The Evil Dead was altered by the company. The arm that was shown in the artwork was removed to make room for a woman by her throat.

WarnerMedia didn't immediately respond to The Verge's request for comment.
