Neal Maupay has grown as person after Brighton omission, says boss Graham Potter

After being left out of the team in recent weeks, Neal Maupay is ready to return to the fold, according to Graham Potter.

In the last three matches, Potter has preferred Leandro Trossard in a false nine role, instead of dropping Maupay.

Potter said that the Frenchman would be used in some capacity in the Saturday Night Football match.

Potter told Sky Sports News that he had reacted well. He's taken some big steps as a person.

He's handled the disappointment in a really mature way, which is normal, and which is what you want.

Sky Sports News spoke to Graham Potter about the game on Saturday.

He's ready to help whenever you need him.

I think that's part of his development. It's part of something he's been working on and it's full credit to him that he's taken those steps.

In the first six games of the season, he scored four goals, taking his tally to 22 in 86 appearances for the club.

He was removed from the starting line-up against the Reds after failing to find the net against the other teams.

Potter said the 25-year-old has taken his manager's decision well.

Potter said that he's trained well this week.

We've had honest conversations, like I said.

He'll do well for the team if he's called upon.

Sky Sports will show the game betweenBrighton andLeeds on Saturday at 5pm.
