Everything that is happening in the Bryson DeChambeau vs. Brooks Koepka grudge match

4:36 PM

After months of feuding, trading jabs, and even a bro hug, there was a break in the relationship between the two players.

The two are playing a match at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas.

DeChambeau entered the event as the favorite, according to the bookmaker. This grudge match might help him find his form.

From the first shot to the last putt, we'll have you covered.

The scoreboard shows that the golfer is 1 up.

No. 1 is Par 4.

We're off at the Wynn Golf Club, with DeChambeau passing out cupcakes for Friendsgiving on the first tee, which drew a slight grin from Koepka.

DeChambeau's opening tee shot was behind a small bush in the pine bark. He got a free drop because the sprinkler system was in his line of play. He knocked his second shot into the greenside Bunker. He was able to hit the green despite his drive going right in the rough.

DeChambeau got up and down to tie the hole.

The result was a tie with pars.

No. 2, Par 4.

It might be a good idea for DeChambeau to dial it back a bit. His second shot was even farther right than his first. He landed again in a greenside Bunker. After hitting the fairway again, he made a 15-foot putt to take a 1-up lead.

"Oh, Phil, good call, I grabbed his ball out of the cup," said the golfer after he correctly had the putt falling.

While walking off the green, he looked back.

"Bryson, that's good," he said.

It is about to get chippy.

The result is that the golfer won with a birdie.

Par 3.

On the closest-to-the-pin hole for charity, DeChambeau's ball ended up in the deep rough to the right of the hole, while the ball of Koepka ended up in the high grass to the left.

The chip was about 2 feet.

DeChambeau was asked what was going through his head before he tried to make his putt. His answer was a thorough 40-second explanation.

"It's a little more complicated than that, but it's a little more straightforward: It's a 2% straight putt over here and to be honest, 10 or 11 feet straight putt," DeChambeau said.

He let a good opportunity go to waste by leaving the putt low.

The hole was tied with pars.

No. 4 is a par 4.

The tee shot went right. What number of weekend hacks would have said that?

"Aren't paralleling the best?" "Micky said that." I'm a big fan of those.

DeChambeau hit a fairway for the first time. After talking about DeChambeau's wedge play, he missed his number and hit his ball over the green. The second shot was a success, but he left a putt short on his attempt to make it to the other side.

"I would make jokes about that, but I have to make a par putt," DeChambeau said.

He did.

The result was tied with pars.

Let the trash talk begin.

The rule of the PGA Tour is not to have fans taunting DeChambeau with shouts of "Brooksy" at its events. His ride for Friday's match includes many of his favorite jabs at DeChambeau.

2 short of a 6 pack.

Let's go.

There's an ant.

"Sorry to you."

Let's start with the insults.

Say 'Brooksy'.

Fans asked what they would whisper to their opponent if the other had a putt to win on the 12th, about an hour before they teed off.

"Brooksy seems to get to him quite a bit," he said. He had to go to the Tour to get them to stop.

"It's simple, I'd just be walking on the cart path in spikes," DeChambeau replied.

The sound of DeChambeau's spikes made the eyes roll in the post-round interview at the PGA Championship. The incident sent their beef to another level.

The spikes drowned out the sound of his mouth. I liked hearing the spikes.

Tom Brady has thoughts.

Tom Brady, who played in the event a year ago, chimed in about his former partner, who is offering TV commentary with Charles Barkley.

I bet PhilMickelson out-benches both of you.
