A.J. Brown won't play for the TennesseeTitans against the New EnglandPatriots.

Brown had injuries to his chest, rib, and hand during the loss to the Houston Texans. He played 40 offensive snaps and had five catches for 48 yards.

The rookies will likely start in place of Brown. Golden Tate could be elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

In 10 games, Brown has caught 46 passes for 615 yards and three touchdown. He missed Tennessee's Week 4 loss to the New York Jets because of a knee injury.

Running back Jeremy McNichols and guard Nathan Davis were also ruled out of the game.
