Even though the Charlotte Hornets are off to a strong start this season, LaVar Ball thinks they are missing a golden opportunity to be better by playing his sons LaMelo and LiAngelo together.

Ball said the Hornets don't understand what they got in LiAngelo and need to let him play with LaMelo.

He said that his boy should be allowed to play. They don't know what to do with a guy who was dropped in the G League.

LiAngelo was given a spot on the summer-league roster by the Hornets after he worked out with LaMelo. He averaged 9.6 points per game and shot 34.5% from three-point range.
Charlotte signed LiAngelo to a nonguaranteed deal but later released him. The move was expected to allow him to join the Hornets' G League affiliate in Greensboro, according to Tim Bontemps.

He was the 14th pick in the G League draft. LiAngelo is seventh on the team in scoring with 9.2 points per game and is shooting 57.7%.
The Hornets' performance gives no indication that they are in trouble without him. Their record is fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Charlotte's offense is fourth in points per game and 11th in offensive rating.
Without his brother, LaMelo is playing well. The reigning NBA rookies of the year is averaging 19.9 points, 7.5 assists and 7.8 rebound per game in 20 starts.
