Apple reportedly to launch mixed-reality headset in 2022, and damn it sounds cool

Mark, watch out. Apple is coming to the second edition of the game.

According to MacRumors, an Apple analyst predicted the company will release a mixed-reality headset in 2022.

One of the two processors in the headset will be as powerful as the M1 chip found in Apple's new MacBooks, according to a report. The headset would no longer need to be connected to a computer or a phone.

The new headset would support augmented reality, which is similar to Pokémon GO.

It would be a direct competitor to the Quest 2 from Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook. Meta said it will release a headset next year.

According to AppleTrack, Kuo is correct about 75 percent of the time. He is not the only one making these claims. Mark Gurman said that Apple is planning to release a mixed-reality headset in 2022.
