According to multiple sources, the Dallas Cowboys will be without their top two receivers in Thursday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with CeeDee Lamb out due to a concussion.

Lamb went through a limited part of Wednesday's practice but McCarthy was still optimistic that he would play against the Raiders. Sources said he cleared the protocol after meeting with team doctors and an independent neurologist. Lamb could have been knocked out multiple weeks if he had a second concussion in a short amount of time.

The Cowboys already knew that they would be without Cooper for a second game.

Lamb, who leads the Cowboys in catches (50), yards (740) and receiving touchdown (6), was able to go through meetings Monday and Tuesday. Lamb was "great" according to Quarterback Dak Prescott. After going through some sessions with Lamb, it was not thought that there would be any limitations going into the game.

The Cowboys' top five players going into the game are Michael Gallup, Noah Brown, Cedrick Wilson, and Malik Turner.

The Cowboys have made a mistake with their players this season. Tyron Smith could have played against the Chiefs with an ankle injury, but the team decided to give him more rest before the Raiders game. He will start today. He was held out of the Halloween game against the Vikings because of a calf injury, but he could have played.

Sources say that the Cowboys will be without offensive line coach Joe Philbin. Jeff will take over his duties. Philbin is the third position coach to miss time because of COVID, joining defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and running backs coach Skip Peete.

Two of the Cowboys' strength and conditioning coaches are in the protocol.
