[Update] 50% off at Amazon (up to $80 off!) when using 1 Membership Rewards point [Targeted]

I just checked and my wife and I were originally targeted for 50% off up to $60 but now we are also targeted for 50% off up to $80. It's great to save $80 at Amazon. If you are targeted, check to see if you can sync it up now.

If you use at least one American Express Membership Rewards point at checkout, you will get 50% off. Many of us are now targeted for a maximum discount of $80, as shown above, after one reader reported getting a max discount of $75. We will definitely use that deal.

Quick thoughts.

Some people will see a lesser offer or no offer at all. It only takes a second to click through and see if you are targeted, but I am not aware of any rhyme or reason as to why some people get targeted.

If you are targeted for 50% off with a max discount of $60 or $75, that is an amazing deal, particularly since it should be completely stackable with holiday sales. It's pretty amazing to get $60 off of $120 or $75 off of $150.

You should only use one Membership Rewards point if you want to get good value for your points. The pay-with-points discounts do not apply on the purchase of Amazon gift cards and only work on items shipped and sold by Amazon. Most third-party gift cards should be worked on. I used at least one point to discount a $100 Safeway gift card to $50 as expected. Remember that the link to gift cards at Amazon won't work with Amazon gift cards.
