Netflix just released a new trailer for its upcoming thriller Earthquake Bird starring Alicia Vikander as an expat with a painful history living in 1980s Tokyo. In the footage above, we see Vikander enter a relationship with a handsome yet equally as troubled photographer from the city named Teiji (Naoki Kobayashi).

Things begin to take a turn, however, when a naive newcomer, Lily Bridges (Riley Keough), becomes entangled in the couple's lives and ends up missing, later suspected dead. The film is directed by Wash Westmoreland ( Colette) and produced by the legendary Ridley Scott ( Alien). The film itself is an adaptation of Susanna Jones' award-winning 2001 debut novel by the same name.

Check out the footage above and catch Earthquake Bird in select theaters on November 1 before arriving on Netflix on November 15.
