Dune Is Returning to IMAX for a Limited Time

I tried to see Dune in IMAX but the screenings were all Eternals. I heard this several times in the past few weeks as friends headed out to see Dune, only to realize that all the IMAX screens had been taken over by the new movie. Dune is coming back like the Harkonnens to Arrakis.

IMAX has announced that the sci-fi epic will return to theaters for a limited time on December 3. The tickets are on sale now and will be on sale again on November 29. IMAX will be a much better presentation if your screen is bigger than your home, because Dune arrives on demand on December 3.

In IMAX, you can see between 26 and 40% more image depending on the location. It feels like the planet of Arrakis is so close to you that you can't help but be enamored by it. There is a video with more info.

Dune is only available to see in regular theaters until December 3, since it is no longer on HBO Max. Dune can be rented or purchased on December 3, and you can see it in IMAX theaters. It will play in IMAX for a few weeks, then head to a few regular theaters again, and then on January 11 it will be on DVD and Blu-ray. Dune: Part Two will be filmed next year and will be in theaters in October of 2023.

Did you see Dune in IMAX? Did you not see it? Will you go to check it out on December 3? Let us know.
