9 Antivax Lies to Watch Out for This Holiday

This is a myth that relies on bad math.

The U.S., UK, and Israel have all experienced a surge of the Pandemic even as many of their residents have gotten vaccinations. Some of these cases have included the vaccine, and there is evidence that immunity waned over time in the elderly or high-risk groups. Even though you take all that into account, you still find that the unvaccinated are more likely to get sick and die than the vaccine-vaccinated.

Some people would die from covid-19 even if a vaccine were 100% effective. The vaccine has prevented many deaths in the U.S., and the continued spread of the Pandemic isn't because the vaccine doesn't work, it's because not enough people are immunized. Only around 60% of the U.S. population has been fully vaccined, and countries with higher rates are having an easier time with the Pandemic than we currently are.
