I Visited Ted Lasso Filming Sites in London!

The Apple TV+ comedy "Ted Lasso" won an award and has a song about a man called Roy Kent.

The world was gripped in a deadly pandemic and a lonely lockdown, and it needed a smile.

I loved Ted Lasso because he was always trying to do the best thing for people, even if it meant hurting them.

On my way back from Europe this past weekend, I built an overnight layover in London, mainly to have dinner with my boss, who lives there, and to visit some of the filming sites around the actual village ofRichmond.

There is an actual town calledRichmond near London.

It was the first thing to find out if or not it was a real place.

The District Line terminates at the station in Zone 4 which makes it easy to get there from central London.

There is a green area.

The most recognizable parts of the suburb will be in the middle of the park called Richmond Green.

The corner from the show is located in the southern corner of the green.

The corner.

There are telephone booths in the background of the publicity image.

I saw the fountain where London busker Cam Cole entertained Ted in the second episode of the first season.

I went to the pub that is called the Crown & Anchor in the show, but found that it is actually called the Prince's Head.

The Prince's Head pub was adorable in its own right, full of easy going people who enjoyed a drink with their friends.

The alley is named after it.

Ted and his companion, Coach Beard, are frequently seen walking down an alleyway, where they grab coffee and where Ted lives.

The closest door I could find was labeled 11 1/2 and it was the home of Ted in the show.

The Promenade.

I needed to make a decision quickly because I was running out of light and I wanted to see the scene where Roy and Keeley went on their first date.

The promenade is a short walk from The Prince's Head pub.

I could not tell if the walkways were on the one closest to the restaurants or the other way around.

The steps are the most obvious hiding spot in the entire world and the guy thought it would give him a cover.

On to London.

Selhurst Park is the home stadium of Crystal Palace, which is why the rest of the sites are carefully laid out.

Is it worth it, and did anyone have anything to sell?

I was able to visit the sites from one of my favorite shows because I was staying at a hotel near the airport and had dinner plans in central London.

I couldn't find anyone who had merchandise for sale, which is a shame since the official shop gets a lot of negative reviews.

Ted Lasso has some crude humor, and the British people in it swear, but it will warm your heart.

Do you have a favorite Ted Lasso location?

It's right in the emotions. It's about time you smiled.

Pessimists say that all good things end, and I was about to stop my trip. I screeched into Berlin, barely missing my rental time.
