The CIA Director told Russia's intelligence officials that they will face consequences if they are found to be behind the mysterious "Havana Syndrome" symptoms reported by U.S. diplomats and spies.

According to the Post, Burns confronted officials from Russia's security services, saying that the damage done to U.S. diplomatic personnel and their families would be beyond the bounds of acceptable behavior.
The CIA director did not blame Russia during the conversation, but the Post reported that Burns brought up Havana Syndrome in order to show the U.S. suspicions that Russia could be behind the attacks.
One Russian official called the allegations of a fake story from the "Russophobic propaganda machine" last month, denying that it was related to symptoms that have arisen among staff at American embassies around the world.
The CIA did not respond to a Forbes request for comment on Burns comments.

There are at least 200 possible cases of Havana Syndrome in ten countries. The experts believe that the symptoms may be caused by targeted radio waves.
